This building was built in 1896 and the rear of the building is where the original firehouse was located. Above the firehouse was living quarters for the man in charge of the fire engine.

In 1972 a new firehouse and city hall were built. At that time the building was sold and the firehouse and quarters above were used for storage by the Cline-Hanson Furniture.
