From the Marker:

"Surviving buildings of the famous Ephrata community of Seventh Day Baptists, founded by Conrad Beissel, 1732. Turn to the right here to see this State historic shrine."

There are several PA Historical Markers in the area pointing travelers in the right direction to visit this historic site. This historical marker is located on the northbound side of Reading Rd (route 272). The Ephrata Cloister is a stone's throw away from this location but not easily accessed by foot from this spot.
