The location was the Brockville Trust Bank on May 3rd, 1958. Three men gained access via next door, they picked and drilled their way thru three solid brick walls and the north wall of the steel vault. The three robbers gathered up jewelry, cash and bonds and made off with their ten Million dollar haul... the largest bank robbery in North America up until this time. However, one of the robbers Rene Martin dropped a piece of paper with his name and address on it, and was arrested in Montreal 2 days later. The seven million dollars in property was recovered. The other three million dollars and the other two robbers were never discovered.
The sight is now the location of the Keystorm Pub and in the north room you'll see a newspaper article from the Kingston Whig Standard describing the robbery. You may also still see the vault in the south end of the bar beside the large bar is the old vault.
