The Dyer family farmed part of the area where the Battle of Chickamauga was fought, September 19-20, 1863. This small family cemetery is located just west of the Dyer homestead on Dyer Rd at Chickamauga-Vittatoe Rd. I only saw 6 headstones.

The Dyer family farmed part of the area where the Battle of Chickamauga was fought, September 19-20, 1863. This small family cemetery is located just west of the Dyer homestead on Dyer Rd at Chickamauga-Vittatoe Rd. I only saw 6 headstones. All of the headstones were simple stones crafted from local rocks. I was able to see some engravings on one of the headstones.
