State of Minn. Dept. of Highways Bench Mark disk set in a bridge abutment. It is not magnetic, and not suitable for satellite observation. It is a 2nd order vertical mark.
The disk was set when the bridge was built in 1976, and stamped when the mark was used in 2008. Stamping on the disk is 7380 AK 2008.
Southeast quadrant of section 28, Township 125 N, Range 30 W. Bridge number 73815.
The mark has an NGS PID, but is not published in the NGS database. NGS indicates that orthometric height has not been adjusted. Elevation on the Mn DOT data sheet is 1155.526 feet, with an accuracy of 0.016 feet.
The coordinates are my consumer-grade (HH2) GPS readings.
IN AVON, IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE COUNTY ROAD 9 BRIDGE OVER INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 94, 24.5 FEET EAST OF COUNTY ROAD 9.
