This wooden covered bridge is located at the Old Mill Park, a Salt Lake County Park. The bridge crosses Big Cottonwood Creek, just upstream from a detention basin. The bridge was constructed by the City of Cottonwood Heights.
The trail on either side of the bridge is paved, while the bridge deck is wood plank. The wood railing is about chest high, with wood uprights close enough to not allow small children to fit through. About the railing are the uprights for the roof structure. These are set about every six feet along the length of both sides of the bridge. The underside of the roof is exposed wooden joists. The bridge is capped with green metal roofing material.
