On 24 June 2006 a dedicated group of 80 geocachers unveiled Canada's 1st Geocache Monument to pay tribute to Canada's 1st Geocache - GCBBA. The monument is located at Graves Island Provincial Park less than 5kms from the actual cache site but has the posted co-ordinates to the traditional cache carved into it.

The Atlantic Canada Geocaching Association (ACGA) and Geocaching.com were the major sponsors of this monument.
