Hidden Lake addition is a very nice area east of I-35 off Danforth Road. The roads are very winding, with small circular turn-arounds and grassed medians when you least expect them.
This tree carving is about ten feet high. It stands where it grew and is now on a small median at the intersection of Hidden Lake and Forest Creek.
The stump has been debarked and at the top an owl, looking off to its left, purveys the neighborhood. About 2/3 of the way up the stump a small, carved raccoon is peeking out of a hole.
At the base of the stump, the word COSS '07 tells us that this is one of the many chainsaw carvings of Clayton Coss, a renowned wood sculptor. To read more about this amazing artist, check out this article in the Tulsa World: (
