Both headstones have a metal disk inserted denoting that they were Revolutionary War soldiers.
Ogden was a very common family name and the name John Ogden seems to be extremely common. This made it difficult to find much information on these particular Ogdens. In performing internet searches, I was only able to find these particular Ogdens in a couple of family trees.
Thier parents were Samuel Ogden and Phoebe (Baldwin) from Middleground (a section near Orange, NJ). John Ogden married Elizabeth McGee and had 6 children. I could find no marriage or children for David Ogden.
