Replicas of the original state houses of the six New England states are found along the Avenue of the States at the Eastern States Exposition. Both the Massachusetts building and its counterpart, the Old State House, in Boston have wonderful wood sculptures a unicorn at their roof-lines. The unicorn is one of the British royal symbols. For artistic reasons the replica at the Eastern States Exposition places these sculptures in the front of the building; whereas, the original building in Boston has them in the back. Otherwise the buildings are strikingly similar.
There is a $5 parking fee at the Eastern States Exposition when there is an event in progress. All other times access to the grounds is free.
