Brugge railway station is the main railway station in Bruges and one of the busiest railway stations in Belgium.
The first station was opened in 1838 with the trackline 'Gent - Brugge'.
In 1883 the first station was replaced by a larger station building, which was finished in 1886. This station was designed by the Antwerp architect Joseph Schadde.
The present station is build in in 1939.
