Postured in athletic but slightly precarious positions, these playful bronze stilt walkers animate the pedestrian pathway of the West Carleton Community Complex. The figures are partial castings of real people by local artist, Stephen Brathwaite. Through the addition of leaves and the stilts, cast from saplings, Brathwaite relates these stilt walkers to the land, referencing the special relationship of the West Carleton community to its rural environment.
