At the entrance of the park there is two columns, each with a relief plaque depicting a full-length standing woman. The woman on the west column wears a long flowing garment. Both arms are at her sides. She holds the side of her dress with her proper right hand. The woman on the east column is dressed in classical garb. She holds a bunch of plants, with eye-shaped leaves, in her proper right hand. Gilbert P. Riswold has done a beautiful job on these sculptures they really look good to make an entrance into the park.
