The village hall has the names of the men who served, carved into stone tablets on the outside wall. Included are the fallen. The hall was built in 1927 with money from public subscription.

Alexander Parkin and his men built the Crosby Ravensworth Village Hall, which was erected by public subscription and completed in 1927.
from Parkin & Jackson Ltd - History Parkin was a local builder and stone mason. The firm continues as Parkin & Jackson Ltd, based in Kendal.

The parish has chosen an unusual place to display the names of the men who served. The stone reads.
"This stone was erected by public subscription to commemorate the service of the men who went from this parish during the great war 1914 - 1918." The names of the men who served are listed, includes those who fell. Fallen indicated with + and year.
