Well preserved parts of the late Gothic Trebon town fortification, especially bastions, offer pictoresque views for visitors - particularly for those, who are coming in Trebon from the southern side.
Trebon was originally fortified by wooden palisades and ditches. Stone wall are firstly documented in years 1379 and 1395, and during the Hussite warsTrebon successfuly resisted to the Hussite sieges (1422 and 1423). The preserved late Gothic fortification was built during years 1525-1527 at the command of Petr Vok of Rosenberg and lately rebuilt during the 16th and in start of the 17th century. In 19th century were big parts of the fortification demolished, so today you can find here only its well preserved southern section.
