Depicted beautiful Renaissance portal, opening to Small courtyard (Malé nádvorí) leading corridor in the main building of Trebon Chateau, is concededly one of the most decorative architectonic elements in this spacious chateau complex.
The stone entrance portal with forged iron grille gate is decorated by two coats of arms of Petr Vok of Rosenberg, the Renaissance nobleman who initiated the final phase of great rebuilding of the former Gothic castle into luxury Renaissance chateau. Above gate is also illusive painting depicting decorative architectural elements (pillasters, turrets and chambranle).
Chateau Trebon (Zámek Trebon), National Cultural Monument and key historic and architectural landmark of small town Trebon, is also one of the most impressive examples of Renaissance architecture in Bohemia.
