The stations were built in 1821 than a chapel on the top of the hill in 1845. From this year the Easter Monday Mass was held in this chapel. The chapel was quite far from the village so the Emmausz-way name was given to the road to the chapel. After the mass the people invited each other to taste wine in the nearby wine cellars. This custom became a still living tradition, called Emmausz Walk on every Easter Monday.
