The Farmers Union Corp., established in this building in 1874, served as an agricultural cooperative and bank, throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In 1961, with the waning of agriculture in the valley, farmers union President John P. McEnery made the decision to develop the corporation's holdings as the new San Pedro Square. The theatre itself is located on the second floor of this beautiful brick building.
The Tabard Theatre Company is the managing and resident theatre company of Theatre on San Pedro Square. Tabard produces produces four to six mainstage productions each season in the theatre and offers theatre workshops for adults and children.
Other theatre productions, including live jazz and additional performing arts events are held at the theatre. It is available for rent for private events, performances, workshops, seminars, and networking events.
Parking is available in multi-story city parking garage directly across from theatre for flat rate of $4 or $5.
