This Ice Box style vintage gas station has made a dramatic career change during its history. Once used for pumping gas for the Mobil Gas Company, the structure is now home to the Farber and Otteman Funeral Home and Creation Center. This “drum style” gas station was designed by Frederick Frost back in the 1940’s, an architect who did work for Mobil Gas Company (formerly Socony of New York). The rounded corner office was inspired by an oil can and gave an unique feature to the classic icebox style. It is located at 813 Main Street in Sac City.
