We visited this enroute from Myrtle Beach. It is one of dozens of smaller family owned and operated wineries peppering North Carolina. Our tasting was conducted by a nice retired gentlemen who was liberal with the samples and all to happy to discuss preferences and pairings. With the season barely starting, we had the run of the place including more personalized treatment than might otherwise be offered when crowded.
The Holiday Red was a sweet wine apt for chocolate pairings. The Calabash Red was our choice for replenishing some table wines. Of the whites, the 2008 Viognier was top notch.
