This dyke forms the fifth point of interest in Earthcache "Campbell’s Hole Volcanic Dykes" GC311VW looking at the dykes in this area. It is adjacent to the deep water feature which is known locally as "Campbell's Hole".
This dyke appears to be of a relatively uniform width over its length, however it will be noted that it does take some rather severe changes in direction. It will also be found to be inclined where it does emerge above the general height of the surrounding rock. these changes in direction are most marked where the general height of the rock platform changes and a large rock pool is formed. It is a little difficult to see where the dyke concludes in the cliffline.
SAFETY WARNING: This waymark is located on a tidal rock platform which is subject to wave action and inundation. Please do not attempt to reach this waymark unless the seas are calm AND it is low tide. Be aware that large waves can occur even in calm conditions.
