The Severance - Pipe Farmstead
This Federal/Greek Revival home was built by John G Severance, who bought or was given this land in November 1854. Construction of the home was completed before the end of 1856.
After a brief ownership by the Bartons and then the Moreys, Thomas Pipe purchased this property in 1876. The Pipe family lived and farmed here for the next one hundred fourteen years.
In 1990, The Bacons bought the entire farmstead and sold the house with three acres to Butch and Lois Sorenson. It was with love and dedication that they restored this historical house into the Thomas Pipe Inn and the beatiful home that it is today.
(As written on the sign that is in front of the house.)
