In 2010 West Springfield held an outdoor art project called - Terriers Around Town. Because the town Mascot is a West Highland White Terrier (Westie), forty different theme painted Westies were displayed along main streets. Each terrier was sponsored by a local business. Artist Sara Ghalaini created "Seeker" - a library themed terrier.

The local Rotary club sponsored and donated this decorated painted terrier to the West Springfield Public Library. "Seeker" is on permanent display in front of the town library at: 200 Park Street - West Springfield, MA 01089-3314
