The board is located on part of the Green Wheel which runs around the perimeter of Peterborough. This was a millennium project for the city.

Detailed on the board is the burial ground dating to the early 6th century. Urns were found containing cremated human remains with animals. Also here was evidence of the funeral pyre and 32 burials. With the graves was a selection of jewellery including imported items suggesting importance.

The site was excavated in the summer of 1999 when the business park construction began.
