Zwischen Bayreuth und Donndorf-Eckersdorf liegt das Naturdenkmal "Teufelsgraben".
Besonders schön ist das große Felsentor, dessen lichte Höhe ca. 4,50 Meter und dessen Breite ca. 8 Meter beträgt und damit das größte Felsentor im näheren Umfeld ist. Das Gestein ist der bekannte rote Bayreuther Buntsandstein, ist also mesozoischem Ursprungs (Erdmittelalter).
