OSU's football stadium is named after legendary oil and gas executive billionaire T. Boone Pickens, a graduate of the university.
Several recent renovations and additions have made Boone Pickens Stadium a top-notch football facility. Some of the amenities of this new facility include: offices, meeting rooms, speed and conditioning center, medicine center, media facilities, and Hall of Fame areas.
The official rededication was on September 5, 2009, when the Cowboys played against Georgia.
In 2009 OSU shattered its highest average attendance record and the school's record for season ticket holders with 46,000 purchased.
