Long Description:
This station, a U.S. Geological Survey standard bench mark disk, is located in the South Row district of Townsend, MA. It is set in a large ledge outcrop at the junction of South row, Tyler, and Seaver Roads. It is at the corner of Tyler and Seaver Roads, just to the north of a former brick schoolhouse, now a private residence. It is quite visible from the street, and is undoubtedly suitable for satellite/GPS use.
According to the description, there is a reference mark nearby, a chiseled square in a culvert headwall about 150 ft northeast of the mark. I wasn't able to find that reference mark at this time, but if I find it at a later date, I will enter it here.
