There are several footbridges over the beck that flows through Stanley Gill. This is the lowest, almost at the confluence with the river Esk.

This bridge has high wooden parapets and is high above the stream bed, supported on small stone pillars to clear the spate waters. Stone steps lead up to the wooden narrow deck. Adjacent ford will take all traffic too wide for the bridge.

Mountain Bikers use the ford. http://www.northernmunkies.co.uk/eskdale_route.htm
