This statue of Parley P.Pratt, in the Parley P. Pratt Park is located at 2100 South 2300 East near the mouth of Parley's Canyon in Salt Lake City. Pratt built a road from Parley's Canyon into the Salt Lake Valley. It was called "Big Kanyon" road, then later called the Golden Pass Road. The Lincoln Highway, spanning the country during the years from 1913 to 1928 followed this section of highway making this a part of America's history.
