Long Description:
This trail was begun in 2005 as part of a Rails to Trails program. There are 1.25 miles within the city of Kalispell, while the remaining 7.15 stretch to the west of town, eventually arriving at the town of Kila. This is a great time to stop and eat at the Cottage Cafe.
Along the route, you will pass two Wildlife Refuges: The Batavia WPA (WM8WZX) and the Smith Lake WPA (WM8WZY).

The starting point in Kila is at the posted coordinates; there is parking available. The starting point in Kalispell is listed below, and there is parking at that location as well.
