Nakhon Nayok lies ~80kms to the east of the metropolis of Bangkok. A small town of maybe 30,000 people, with approximately a quarter million people, engaged in farming and light industry, in the province. The province is known for its waterfalls and recreational boating. The provincial court house lies close to the river running through the town, and close to other government offices.
I tend to visit these regional towns on the weekend, which means that the government offices at least are closed for business. Thus I am unable to interrogate a local on the history and background of this building. All I can say is that it looks to be more than a few years old, but in good repair, and in the usual design of such structures.
