Locust Hill Cemetery is one of 2 municipal cemeteries in Evansville (the other being Oak Hill Cemetery). This cemetery features 2 different military sections, one with many unknown soldier graves. The cemetery also has the interred body of the Corporal James Bethel Gresham, one of the first three servicemen to die in combat in WWI.

2 US Congressmen are also buried here. Charles LaFollette (IN 8th District House of Representatives 1943 to 1947) and Harry Emerson (IN 1st District House of Representitives 1925 to 1931)

There are nearly 6,000 graves here.
