Bronze figure of a bison on a granite tiered base. It is a replica of a bronze in Kanazaw, Japan. On the granite base is a plaque with the following inscription:
"BISON"

DEDICATED TO THE CITIZENS OF BUFFALO, New York
AND TO THE CITIZENS OF HER SISTER CITY, KANAZAWA,
