Prachinburi is a small town of rice farmers and light industry lying 80kms or so east of Bangkok.
The station follows the usual design of Thailand regional town stations. A parking area at front (replete with a small number of tuk tuks, and 'motor bike taxi drivers'), open entranceway, ticketing, then seats and waiting area along the tracks (which folk can walk across). There are a full range of facilities present, however, this is not a busy station.
This is the 'eastern line', connecting Bangkok with its eastern provinces all the way to the Cambodian border. There is a sizeable quantity of freight moved by rail between Cambodia and Thailand. Waymark made at the main entrance.
