Kalibo and Caticlan are the two airport destinations for nearly a million tourists each year who visit the neaby island of Boracay. Kalibo offers direct flights to Hong Kong and other Asian cities.

Kalibo is the captital of the province of Aklan on the island of Panay. The Kalibo International Airport can be a bustling place with its international tourists, but retains is rustic, Filipino charm. The new international departure lounge on the second level has its own coffee shop and vending machines with a view of the runway. No jetways here, though. Just one terminal building, and one runway.

This is one of several eating places directly outside the airport terminal. The sign in English reads, "Friend's House," and in Korean simply, "Korean Restaurant."
