The smallish town of Chachoengsao lies ~50kms to the east of the metropolis of Bangkok. One of the features of the town is a royal park, dedicated to the memory of the mother of the King of Thailand, Somdej (Princess) Phra Srinagarindra Boromarajajonani.
The park is bisected into an western and eastern section by a major road. The 'main entrance' is off this road, in the western section of the park.
The park is of a sizeable size, and contains a variety of entertainment: a lake, playgrounds for children, stretching and exercise areas, birds to feed, ducks and swans to watch, tables and chairs, food and drink. I visited during the late weekend afternoon, and the park was busy with people, families and loitering teenagers, all enjoying the cool of the early evening. The park is well designed and well maintained. A pleasant spot.
