The Living Planet Aquarium is a non-profit organization, dedicated to cultivating public interest in the environment, conservation, and the enhancement of our planet and its creatures through adoption, education, research and recreation. 1250 animals and 267 species are on display in three main exhibits: Discover Utah, Ocean Explorer, and Journey to South America!
On April 19, 2009, the aquarium reached one million visitors since opening the preview exhibit at The Gateway in 2004. It has become one of Utah´s most unique and popular attractions. Exhibits feature sharks, rays, seahorses, jellyfish as well as octopus, eels, starfish, amphibians, trout and other freshwater species.
