War memorial located at the entrance of the Sawnee View Cemetary on the outskirts of Cumming, Ga. The memorial reads:
In memory of all American Veterans
This memorial honors all American veterans who, although seperated by generations, shared a common undeniable goal- to valiantly protect our countries freedoms.
The memories of these American veterans will continue to live on whenever and wherever democracy exists.
The American veteran-forever a symbol of heroism, sacrifice, loyalty and freedom.
Given in love by Edwin and Annette Gravitt May 27, 1995.
The monument is located at the entrance to Sawnee View Cemetary which is the final resting place of many local residents. The Cemetary is very well maintained and a nice place to visit tour the grounds or feed the ducks at the lake. In addition you will also find two additional waymarks of famous people buried here.
