visit link) "Prague, for its winning sons" is the most famous monument with Legionnaire's theme (
visit link) . It was unveiled on the 28th October 1932.
The center of the memorial consists of about sixteen meters high granite obelisk, around which the disposition of the legions in various characters fighting positions - four French, two Russian and one Italian legionnaire. One is going to sortie, the other throws a grenade, the other blowing the next attack. At its heart is a French legionnaire with a flag.
The monument is noted not only an ideological concept, but also the precision with which all details of weapons and equipment.
The monument was destroyed during the German occupation. After 1989 it was decided to restore it, and was unveiled on the 28th October 1998.
