NJGS 15 R 3 2000, NJ, is a New Jersey Geodetic Survey (NJGS) survey disk located in the base of a flagpole at the Ocean County Utilities Authority SPS-9 Highbar Harbor pumping station on Auburn Road in the Highbar Harbor community in the Borough of Barnegat Light, Ocean County, NJ. The pumping station is on the south side of Auburn Road where it curves from tracking to the northwest to tracking to the southwest, and across the road from it’s intersection with Arnold Blvd. The disk is set in a drill hole in the concrete base of a flagpole, 68.9 feet southwest of the centerline of Auburn Road, 19.0 feet southwest from the southeast corner of the pumping station, and 19.0 feet southeast of the southwest corner of the pumping station. The disk was monumented by the New Jersey Geodetic Survey in 2000, and is stamped 15 R 3 2000. It is in the National Geodetic Survey database at PID = AM6920 (visit link) . To reach from the Garden State Parkway, take Exit 63 to State Highway 72 eastbound. Go east on State Highway 72 for about 7.7 miles to the intersection with Long Beach Blvd. Turn left and go northeast on Long Beach Blvd (known as Central Avenue in the Borough of Barnegat Light) for about 7.65 miles to the intersection with 20th Street leading northwest. Turn left and go northwest on 20th Street for about 0.10 miles to the intersection with Bayview Avenue. Continue straight ahead, now on Auburn Road, for about 0.25 miles to the lift station on the left and the station in the base of the flagpole.
