A post card of the Aberystwyth Castle ruins and the garden of Rememberance with the cenotaph in the distance with the angel of peach on the top.
The castle before it was a ruin dates back to the 13c when the town of Aberystwyth was a walled town. It fell from the English and was held for 4 years by Owain Glyndwr in the 14c. In the English civil war it was blown up and that helps to explain its current state of ruin.
