The January 19, 1966 airing of the Bob Hope Christmas Special won Bob Hope the Emmy for Outstanding Variety Special in May 22, 1966.
The Emmy awarded is now on display at the US Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. The hallway towards the World War II hanger contains a permanent exhibit dedicated to Bob Hope's contribution to entertaining US troops stationed overseas. This Emmy is part of the exhibit.
Admission into the museum and this exhibit is free.
