Sculpture Deck and Bicentennial Wings is a large, two-section sculpture on the campus of City College of San Francisco. A one minute video tour of the whole sculpture can be seen on YouTube.

The Bicentennial Wings portion is located just off the plaza outside Batmale Hall and the Sculpture Deck portion is located on the plaza. Both pieces have blue and red ceramic tiles with patterns befitting the shapes. The sculpture is listed on the CCSF website of Art on Campus.

The Bicentennial Wings are two large irregular curved concrete forms that are symmetrical with each other.

The Sculpture Deck is a large square with vertical concrete and slanted forms, that are wavy and irregular shapes.

The Sculpture Deck piece has been cleaned and restored by conservator Karen Fix. She repaired the areas where skateboarders had been landing and anti-skateboard rails have been added to prevent skateboarders from using the curved surfaces.

Next to the Sculpture Deck is a raised square table or bench. The top surface is divided into four squares within. Three of the squares have an assortment of straight lines curved lines and a circle. The fourth square has some words about the art piece and signed by the author, but the wording is very hard to makes out because of wear on the concrete letter. Here is the wording that I could determine:

JACQUES OVERHOFF, ARCHITECTURAL SCULPTOR
WAS COMMISSIONED BY THE
SAN FRANCISCO COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT
TO CREATE THIS PUBLIC PROJECT.

[undetermined line]
[undetermined words] ROBINSON
[undetermined line]

[undetermined words] SCULPTURE PLAZA
WAS CONCEIVED AS AN INTERRELATIONSHIP

An interesting feature to note in the Sculpture Deck, at the very center of the square, mounted on a foot high conical post with curved sides is a U.S. Geological Survey benchmark disk. Since it's fully integrated into the sculpture, perhaps it was used in the design placement somehow.
