Located at the Farmington Bay Waterfowl Management Area (WMA), the Great Salt Lake Nature Center is a place for education, discovery, and enjoyment. We invite you to explore and find out what makes the Great Salt Lake Ecosystem one of the most extraordinary natural features in North America.
The Nature Center at Farmington Bay WMA is a community partnership involving the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, the Davis School District Foundation, and a non-profit organization--the Utah Wildlife and Conservation Foundation. The Nature Center is funded entirely from corporate and foundation donations and staffed by the Nature Center Director and a body of wonderful Volunteer Naturalists.
"We Enthusiastically Offer Classrooms in Nature and Nature as a Classroom"
The Nature Center was designed by students for students. Conveniently located between Salt Lake City and Ogden, Utah, the Nature Center offers on-site educational field trips and programs designed to meet the State of Utah's 4th-grade science wetlands core curriculum with fun, hands-on activities. But our programs and activities cater to students of all ages, families, scout groups and adults.
