The Todaiji temple bell the "Nara Taro" is a great site to see. This huge bell, made in the Kamakura-era (1192-1333)is on display in Nara Park, Nara, Japan. It is 12.8 feet high and has a circumference of 27 feet. The bronze body is 10.6 inches thick and weighs 26 tons. This is one of the oldest bells in Japan. Visitors can have a hands on experience here but cannot ring the ball.
