This 1787 vintage milestone, made of what appears to be slate, stands on the north/northeast side of Boston Road (MA Route 225 + 119) at the junction of Old Ayer Road, in Groton, MA, pointing eastward towards Boston. It has retained its legibility quite well considering its age.
