Originally Robert Indiana designed this simple, but striking design for a Christmas card for the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan, New York, in 1964. The first sculpture, made of COR-TEN steel was put on display at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, in 1970. This was followed by an 8-cent U.S. postage bearing the design in 1973. Since then replicas of the LOVE Sculpture have been created and can be seen around the United States and many countries.

This replica has the striking backdrop of a dancing fountain choreographed to music with lighted displays at night. The surrounding plaza and fountain pool are in the open plaza area at the entrance to the Eastwood Mall, part of complex of apartment buildings, restaurants, shops, and upscale malls in Quezon City, in the greater Metro Manila area.
