This is a nice memorial for Mr Ric Simmons, sailor and good friend of the Great Salt Lake Yacht Club. He sailed his yacht, Irish Mist, from this marina. The plaque is set in the grass just a few feet from the door to the Marina, and the Yacht Club offices are.

The plaque reads:
