First Log Cabin in Sangamon County, Illinois. - Illinois Historical Markers on Waymarking.com

The marker stating the existance of the first cabin in Sangamon County, Illinois is about ten miles south of Springfield, the Capitol of Illinois.
The marker is on a county highway and is accesible to all.
It is in front of a private residence, but with caution you can stop in front of the marker and look at it.
