This bridge was built in 1893 by The Chicago Bridge Company. It was one of several in Lanesboro used by the Milwaukee Road Railroad. Today it is used as a bridge along the Root River State Trail which was created from 42.3 miles of abanonded rail bed. The trail is used year around for biking, hiking and cross country skiing.
